REGISTRATION NOW OPEN FOR EVA AIR MARATHON

EVA Air, Taiwan’s leading independent airline, is set to host its best-ever EVA AIR MARATHON on Sunday 27th October 2024 and registration is now open for all running enthusiasts to enter. EVA Air has been organising and holding its own professional marathon since 2018 and the event has already welcomed over 100,000 participants from over 40 international countries.

Taking place in Taiwan’s vibrant capital city of Taipei, this year’s EVA Air Marathon is being organised in collaboration with Chinese Taipei Culture, Leisure and Sports Association, Taiwan Tourism Administration, Taipei City Government Department of Information and Tourism as well as the Chinese Taipei Road Running Association. The EVA Air Marathon is IAAF and AIMS certified.

For those runners keen to take part, but not quite ready for the full marathon distance of 26.2 miles (42.195 kms), there are also half marathon, 10km and 3km alternatives available. Beginning outside Taipei’s Presidential Office plaza at 5:10am*, the EVA Air Marathon offers competitors the chance to enjoy Taipei’s scenery as they run past some of the city’s most famous sights, including the Memorial Hall, National Theatre and East Gate, before crossing the finish line in Dajia Riverside park.

On completion of the marathon, runners will receive a medal and electronic certificate to commemorate their achievement, as well as a towel and storage bag. All those entering the various races will also be entered into a sweepstake to win EVA Air flight tickets to a variety of destinations and receive a range of discounts and deals on various shopping and travel products as well as up to 4,200 Award Miles.

Participants can register for the event at www.evaairrun.com/en until 30th May 2024, with entry to the full marathon distance costing NT$ 1,800 (approx. £44); NT$ 1,100 (approx. £27) for the half marathon, NT$ 800 (approx. £20) for the 10km race and NT$ 500 (approx. £12) for the 3km event
