Food to try:
- Clam Chowder:If you’re spending any time on the coast in New England, you simply must try the clam chowder. A creamy, potato-filled soup, with clams, onions and salt pork.
- California Roll: A US take on a Japanese staple, this sushi roll is created inside-out, containing avocado, crab and cucumber and often sprinkled with sesame seeds.
- Philly Cheesesteak: This classic fast food dish sandwiches thinly slice beef and melted cheese in a long soft roll. An essential for your time in Philadelphia.
- Peach Cobbler: Consisting of stewed peaches and a dropped-biscuit topping, the sweet, fruity dish is a favourite across the southern states.
