Most Instagrammable travel destinations that are (sometimes) cut off from the world

Now that the world is starting to open again, we’re all desperate to travel and start exploring and seeing some of the beautiful sights the world has to offer.

DiscoverCars.com have listed some of the most inspiring low tide locations to visit and informs you when the best times to visit are, in order to encourage people to visit these destinations. 

DiscoverCars.com have also looked into which of these are the most Instagrammable locations, based on how many Instagram posts there are under each location's hashtag.

Mont Saint-Michel - Normandy, France

The most instagrammable destination is Mont Saint-Michel in Northern France, that has 531,127 Instagram posts under the hashtag #montsaintmichel.

Mont Saint-Michel is a tidal island with 44 inhabitants.

It was originally built on the mainland but due to rising sea levels the abbey became isolated, so it is best to visit this beautiful destination between May and October.

The following dates are also good options to visit this stunning location: March 1st and 2nd, March 29th and 30th, April, 28th and 29th, October, 7th and 8th, and November 5th and 6th.

Enoshima - Fujisawa, Japan

The second most instagrammable destination is Enoshima in Fujisawa, Japan, that has 519,685 Instagram posts under the hashtag #enoshima. 

People can visit the beautiful Enoshima any time of the year thanks to a 600 meter-long bridge.

If you would prefer to get some much needed fresh air, you can walk to the island across the newly exposed sandbars.

Enoshima has some spectacular views and things to do like the Enoshima Shrine, complete with statues honoring Benzaiten, the Buddhist goddess and the Enospa hot springs.

St. Michael's Mount - Marazion, England

The third most instagrammable destination is the beautiful hilly St. Michael's Mount in Marazion, England that has 122,700 Instagram posts under the hashtag #stmichaelsmount. 

It is just off the coast and is only accessible for four hours either side of low water, depending on the tides and weather conditions.

This extraordinary destination is covered in sea at high tide and the Mount is no longer accessible on foot; so you’ll have to grab a boat back if you stay too long!

Koh Nang Yuan - Koh Tao ,Thailand

The fourth most instagrammable destination is the remarkable Koh Nang Yuan - Koh Tao in Thailand. This location has 88,849 Instagram posts under the hashtag #kohnangyuan.

The Thai Islands can be accessed by boat and even swimming channels when the tide is high.

If you're travelling by car, it’s probably best to wait for the low tide to reveal spectacular natural causeways in the form of a long sand beach.
