Most of the southern states in the USA are a good pick for April sunshine, but choose Florida for direct flights, the theme parks and a multitude of beaches, the Everglades National Park for wildlife and alligators and Miami for city buzz.

3. Mexico

April temperatures can reach 32°C on the long white beaches of Cancún.

4. Egypt

Head to Sharm El-Sheikh or Hurghada for snorkelling and diving and beach temperatures of 28°C during April.
