Newmarket Holidays Launches Christmas Crackers
Newmarket Holidays has launched last-minute booking discounts on more than 20 Christmas tours, including festive markets and captivating getaways at home and abroad.
The operator's extensive programme of Christmas-themed tours includes Europe's most popular Christmas markets and some hidden gems, plus short breaks that explore snowy wildernesses and escape the gloom of British winter.
The six-day adventure Christmas in the Norwegian Fjords (now £1254pp, saving £221pp) is set in unforgettable snowy, scenic fjordland, with excursions including an eco-friendly cruise along Nærøyfjord and an epic Boxing Day journey on the Flåmsbana Mountain Railway. Gourmands are in for a treat, with a traditional Viking lunch and Norwegian Christmas dinner both on the menu.
One of the company's most popular tours is Christmas in Verona & Lake Garda (now £963pp, saving £233pp), a relaxing six-day short break that includes a cruise across Lake Garda and guided tour of Verona, which is beautifully lit for the season.
A three-night break to Berlin's Christmas Markets (now £570pp, saving £189pp) starts with a guided bus tour of the city, with guests then given plenty of time to explore a whole host of markets and savour the aromas of gluhwein, almonds and sweet Christmas biscuits as they search for gifts and seasonal specialities, and enjoy the excitement of fairground rides, ice-rinks and even a ski slope at Potsdamer Platz.
For those after something closer to home, Edinburgh Christmas Market (now £322pp, saving £107pp) is a three-night break that includes an escorted city tour, and the centre is transformed with colourful festive markets, a Traditional Highland Village in Princes Street Gardens, and an authentic German Market.
Richard Forde, Head of Trade Sales, says: "With big savings and more than 20 breaks covering a diverse range of destinations, from Scotland to Spain to snowy northern Europe, these last-minute festive getaways are a great way for travel agents to light up Christmas for their customers.”
