Designed to help holidaymakers disconnect from the stresses and technology of daily life and reconnect with loved ones, the new offerings include a weekly cycling concierge, sight-seeing hikes and a silk-themed museum and spa package.
‘Celebration of Silk’ Museum & Spa Package
In celebration of Lake Como’s centuries-old tradition of silk craft and the property’s history as a former silk factory, Hilton Lake Como is now offering guests a very special ‘Celebration of Silk’ museum-and-spa package centred on the luxurious fabric. Weaving together a visit to the famous Como Silk Museum and a silk-infused massage at the hotel’s award-winning eForea spa, this is the smoothest way to unwind on the lake this season.
During a visit to the Como Silk Museum, guests will discover the entire production process, from silkworms to coloured yarns, hand printing and cutting-edge fashion collections. The museum collects, preserves, and exhibits evidence of Como's textile production tradition – which dates back to pre-Roman times - such as machines, objects, documents, samples, and working tools from the textile manufacturing processes that gave life to the golden age of silk in Como.
Upon returning from the museum, guests can unwind with an ultra-relaxing Silk Touch Massage, (€115). This is a vigorous workout for the body, perfect for alleviating high stress levels. Tailored entirely to the client’s needs, it leaves one feeling grounded and focused. The therapist will select an aromatic oil according to the client’s concerns, then skin is prepped to release toxins and the flowing massage works deeper and deeper into areas of tension, encouraging optimum circulation.
Hilton Lake Como was converted from the former Subalpina silk-printing factory, which for several decades represented one of the most active and important industries in the city. By retaining the industrial design of the façade, alongside rounded windows and red bricks, the property continues to honour the history of the location, providing a clear link to this unique heritage.
The Como Cycling Concierge
For a more energetic way to take in the sights, guests of Hilton Lake Como can opt to hire bikes directly from the property and explore the lake’s perimeter on two wheels. Each Thursday, a dedicated cycling concierge organises guided and personalised tours allowing participants to discover the main attractions of Como and nearby Cernobbio as they benefit from a surge in exercise endorphins.
The main stops include the Volta Temple, Como Cathedral, Piazza Cavour and the funicular up to Brunate village, which offers a breath-taking vista of the entire first basin of Lake Como. Gourmet picnic hampers can be prepared on request for those wishing to stop for an al fresco bite en-route, and cycling guests will receive a merenda snack of fresh fruit juice and local delicacies upon their return to refuel tired muscles!

The Lake Como Greenway
Guests who want to take in the scenery and local sights at a more leisurely pace can enjoy the Lake Como Greenway walking route for nature-loving families, friends and couples alike. A gentle 10km path on the western shore of Lake Como, this trail starts from the quaint village of Colonno, less than 30 minutes from Hilton Lake Como. From here, seven stops will provide ample exploration of the lake’s most characterful villages, with the opportunity to visit historic villas and gardens, Romanesque and Baroque churches and of course, soak up the enchanting natural landscape.
Hilton Lake Como’s knowledgeable concierge will be on hand to provide transfers, maps and refreshments as needed, along with an insider tip or two on where to find the best gelato and aperitivos en-route!
