LUXURY HOLIDAY RESORT THE SAROJIN LAUNCHES NEW “SAROJIN CARES RECHARGE & EXPLORE” PACKAGE TO CELEBRATE THE END OF TRAVEL TESTING REQUIREMENTS
Following Thailand's removal of testing requirements for fully vaccinated visitors from May 1st, the 56-roomed boutique residence, The Sarojin, has launched a new package for travellers wanting to book a trip to the country now that travel restrictions have eased. The “Sarojin Cares Recharge & Explore” package combines a luxurious stay with either sea or jungle exploration excursions, an experience to get to know the local area and the community, spa treatments, yoga and meditation classes, as well as a complimentary invitation to take part in conservation and community activities. There’s never been a better time to book an escape to Thailand for travellers wanting to combine active adventure in the surrounding nature with rest and relaxation at the award-winning residence.
From just THB 69,163* (approx. £1,537), two guests can enjoy 5-nights in a Garden Residence, choose between either “Sea Adventure to Phang Nga Bay” or “Jungle Adventure to Khao Sok National Park” excursions for a day of active exploration, a “Glimpse of Local Life” experience, two 90-minute massage sessions and a 90-minute yoga and meditation class, all day a la carte breakfast with sparkling wine served until 6pm and private transfers to/from Phuket International Airport. As part of the package, guests can also join the team on their regular ‘Sarojin Cares’ volunteer days and take part in ongoing beach, coastal and mangrove environmental care activities in the local area.
Guests can begin their stay with a ‘Just For Two’ Sea Adventures trip to Phang Nga Bay, which departs early to catch a glimpse of the picturesque sunrise. A morning of traversing the waters aboard a traditional fisherman’s longtail boat is then followed by a sea cave canoeing experience amongst the region’s iconic limestone karst rocks and a stop at Tapu Island – famously known as ‘James Bond Island’. After lunch at a local restaurant in the ‘Sea Gypsy Village’ the excursion ends with a visit to Wat Thamsuwankuha and a Monkey Cave Temple. Alternatively, guests can choose a ‘Just For Two’ Jungle Adventures trip to Khao Sok, which includes a canoe or bamboo raft safari through Khao Sok National Park, a chance to learn about the care and welfare of Thailand’s gentle giants during a visit to a local elephant sanctuary and a gourmet safari-style lunch. Or for those seeking an underwater adventure, from mid-October to mid-May, guests can choose to join a group snorkelling trip aboard the Lady Sarojin yacht to the Similan and Surin Islands... the package has been designed to be truly flexible to ensure guests can choose the right dose of adventure for their trip! The adventure continues with a Glimpse of Local Life, Day in the Life of a Local experience where the resort’s expert guides take guests on a custom-made tour offering a more authentic insight into genuine Thai culture. Here guests can visit producers, farmers and fisherman to learn about life in a rural community, ignite their senses at a local food market, take a moment of reflection at the Ban Nam Khem Tsunami Memorial Park and explore the country’s links to religion at a Buddhist temple.
Back at the resort, for restoration of body and mind, the package includes two relaxing 90-minute spa treatments, a Royal Oriental Aroma massage and a Thai massage, at The Sarojin’s Pathways Spa – a secluded haven surrounded by coconut groves and lush greenery. And for a touch of mindfulness and spirituality, it also includes a 90-minute yoga and meditation class in either the resort’s luscious green gardens or beside the pool, where guests are guided through a gentle session of Vinyasa Yoga followed by restorative meditation to fully relax the body.
*The “Sarojin Cares Recharge & Explore” is available from April 2022, but prices vary according to the time of year. The package is based on a rate for two adults sharing a Garden Residence for five nights, inclusive of all activities mentioned above. Upgrades to a Pool Residence or Jacuzzi Pool Suite or a Two-Bedroom Pool Residence are available at an additional cost, as well as further experiences such as a rock-climbing or a ‘spiritual blessing of love’ at a local Thai temple.

The Sarojin Community Care Fund
Established in December 2004 The Sarojin Community Care Fund, which was initially set up to help rebuild the communities surrounding our resort in the wake of the devastating 26 December tsunami, continues to contribute to a number of worthy local projects in Khao Lak. From providing medical provision for prosthetic limbs and supporting local orphanages with childcare, to building school classrooms, roads and covering the cost of a full-time veterinary surgeon to care for the local wildlife, there’s such a huge variety of ways our fund gives back to those closest to us. Guests are encouraged to donate to the fund during their stay, with 100% of the money raised distributed to local community projects.
