TRAVELEYES IS BACK WITH A NEW COLLECTION FOR BLIND AND VISUALLY IMPAIRED TRAVELLERS
Traveleyes, the tour operator founded by blind adventurer Amar Latif OBE for blind and visually impaired holidaymakers, is back in business – and with a brand-new partner. Working with walking and special interest holiday operator, HF Holidays, it has launched a new collection of carefully-crafted, multi-sensory group holidays.
From Spring 2024, HF Holidays will power Traveleyes’ itineraries and enable an equal number of visually impaired and sighted travellers to explore exciting places in the UK, Europe, and worldwide. Blind and visually impaired travellers will be paired daily with sighted travellers, who will describe the sights and scenes they see. This provides an enriching experience as well as the chance to make good friends along the way.
After being rejected by mainstream travel operators as a solo visually impaired traveller, Latif established Traveleyes in 2004 to empower blind and visually impaired travellers keen to explore the world both freely and independently.
Latif said: “My hopes for Traveleyes have always been for it to expand and have a wider reach - and ultimately to outlive me as its founder. I am passionate about enabling visually impaired travellers to explore this beautiful world of ours and I love the way our sighted travellers make this a reality whilst seeing the world in a unique way.”
“By joining forces with HF Holidays, Traveleyes continues its journey post-pandemic, enabling visually impaired people to travel the world again on their own terms, whilst offering enriching experiences for sighted travellers, too. This valuable collaboration between Traveleyes and HF Holidays means there'll be even more holiday opportunities offered to even more people.”
