Hey! Have you ever thought of going on a journey but the busy routines are not allowing you the luxury to do so? Well, what if I tell you, You don’t have to wait for your year-end holidays to make an adventurous plan?

The Poon Hill Circuit trek is one of the few treks that take around a week to explore. Just a week, and you’ll be able to experience the iconic Himalayan peaks, the Nepali rural life and the natural wonders that lie there.

So, if this track has caught your attention, sit tight and let us take you on a journey through the rural life of the Poon Hill circuit trek.

Why the Poon Hill Circuit Trek is a Himalayan Gem

By now, you may be wondering, What is so special about this trek in particular? Like, yeah, this is a Himalayan track, but what sets it apart from other popular tracks like the Everest base camp trek or the Langtang trek? Well, first of all, This trek is way shorter than those popular tracks. Like, you hardly need a week to explore this trek in comparison to the 14-15 days those other treks take.

But don’t let the length of this trek fool you into thinking this trek is not so special. The Poon Hill trek is nestled in the heart of the Annapurna region, and it offers a unique blend of natural beauty with the cultural and rural life of Nepal. Lush green full of rhododendron, charming Gurung and Magar villages and the Poon Hill viewpoint, and lastly, a sunrise in the Himalayas that leaves everyone speechless, this trek offers all these cherishing experiences on every step you take here.
What to Expect on the Poon Hill Circuit Trek

On the first day, you’ll have to reach “Pokhara” from your starting point “Kathmandu”. How? You have two options: either take a bus or go all out and catch a scenic flight. And after you reach this lakeside city, catch your breath here because from here on, there’s no going back. Go and explore the Bazaars and stock up on essentials.

Day 2: Pokhara to Nayapul to Tikhedhunga

You’ll leave early in the morning for Nayapul by road. This is the official starting point of the trek. From here on, you’ll get the initial taste of Nepal’s rural life. Now, you’ll continue your journey through the day until you reach Tikhedhunga by nightfall.
