EVA AIR AND WEST HAM UNITED CONTINUE GLOBAL TRAVEL PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT FOR A FIFTH CONSECUTIVE YEAR
LONDON, 21 April 2022 – EVA Air, Taiwan’s leading independent airline is delighted to announce its continued partnership with Premier League football club – and UEFA Europa League semi-finalists – West Ham United, for a fifth consecutive year. The continuation of the partnership, which saw EVA Air become West Ham United’s first-ever Official Airline Partner, follows a successful four years of collaboration between the two parties, including multiple branding opportunities, as well as engaging fan activations and initiatives.
Since the inception of the partnership in 2018, EVA Air and West Ham United have worked closely to develop engaging player content and fan experiences, including offers and flight giveaways. The extended partnership gives EVA Air the opportunity to continue to promote their daily return flights from the UK to Bangkok and Taipei via West Ham United’s matchday advertising inventory and across the Club’s ever-growing international channels.
Despite the impact of the pandemic, EVA Air continues to perform in the air, ranking 7th in SKYTRAX World’s Top 10 Airlines and winning multiple awards for Economy Class Onboard Catering, Business Class Services, Airline Cabin Cleanliness and World’s Best Airport Services.
EVA Air’s General Manager, Sarah Wu said: “We are delighted to announce our partnership extension with West Ham United. The Club provides a perfect platform to promote our international flights, and its fantastic fanbase has been extremely supportive of us as a brand. We are committed to developing even more engagement opportunities and experiences for the fans as the partnership develops.”
West Ham United’s Chief Commercial Officer, Nathan Thompson, said: “We have enjoyed a fantastic partnership with EVA Air over the last four years and we are excited to continue developing our relationship. We thank them for their unwavering support of the Club and we look forward to supporting them as they reintroduce their flights following the pandemic.”
